The Finance Team: shall be elected annually by the Charge Conference upon the recommendation of the Lay Leadership Team. They shall have the responsibility of preparing an annual budget to be approved by the Church Council and the Annual Charge Conference. They shall be charged with the development and implementation of plans that will raise sufficient income to meet the budget adopted by the Church Council. The team shall carry out the church council’s directions in guiding the Treasurer and Financial Secretary. They shall appoint two persons not of the immediate family residing in the same household to work under the supervision of the Financial Secretary to count the weekly offerings. This Treasurer shall make regular (bi-monthly), detailed reports on funds received and expended to the Finance Team and to the Church Council. The Treasurer shall be adequately bonded. The Finance Team shall make provisions for an annual audit of the financial statements of the local church and all its various accounts.
